MILICAST : T60 Soviet Light Tank

I've always had a soft spot for early war Soviet tanks and when I seen that Milicast* done this kit I had a little idea of adding it to a scene based on the prippet marshes.

PARTS AND CONSTRUCTION
There are only a handful of parts to this kit and a bit of flash was present around the lower wheels that needed some time to clean up but on a whole the parts were sound although I decided to replace the main gun barrel and machine gun with wire. The kit comes with both exhaustvariants of and the later style wheels, both hatches can be left open if wished which is a nice touch on such a small vehicle. I decided just to keep the turret hatch open.

PAINTING
I base coated the kit in a dark green and progressively lightened this shade with green and sand. I picked out details such as wheels, radiator, tracks then gave the kit a wash of burnt umber and black in areas, once it was dry I then dry brushed in very light green and then painted on the markings, once the kit was added to the base to finish off I used pastels around the lower hull and track as well as some pencil on worn surface.

BASEWORK
This was done with my usual way with white glue and polyfila with little rocks added then sprayed various browns then static grass added with some heavier grass added around a few little marsh areas (these were picked out in various colours and
gloss varnish)

CONCLUSION
The kit went together well was pretty fun to build and was not so time consuming it is a delicate looking little vehicle and I feel is a nice addition to my collection. This is the first Milicast kit I have taken to completion and I am happy with the final result. I would recommend this to other modellers if they are looking for this specific vehicle and it would also be a nice kit for people new to resin to cut their teeth on.
