ISU152 from PST

PST ISU152 Self Propelled Gun : with AB Figures Soviet AFV Crew

PST ISU152 MODEL
This is a powerful looking model and to me is a nice representation of the vehicle.

The kit went together well with a little filler needed in areas and I found the gun mantel tricky. I left the roof hatches open and possibly could have thinned them down a bit better. The hand holds are also a little heavy and could have been replaced with wire. I decided also to put a fair amount of sage in the tracks.

PAINTING AND DETAILING
I base coated in dark green enamel (JP 108) then blured in an olive green (Humbrol 86/98?) I then applied a wash of black. I applied acrylic earth gradually building to cream by using white, to try a different dust/dirt effect. I finished up by drybrushing the entire kit in light grey. I added 2 of AB figures Soviet AFV crew and a wire antenna. I hand painted the decals and I had to stop at this point as I couldn't make out the slogan to finish it off but I have it now ready to finish.

PST provide some nice sets of decals for their kits and when I discover how to stop the backing sheet from shining through
I will definately start using them.

Many thanks to Ian Hanratty from The Glasgow Model Club for taking the pictures
CONCLUSION
I'm pleased how this one is coming along with just the slogan to do. I'm really glad that PST decided to fill the gap in the plastic Soviet AFV's of WWII Market and look forward to their future releases. Also there seems to be so many companies making figures to crew you kits now (AB Figures, Cromwell Models and Milicast all do nice Soviet crew figures).
