FUJIMI Panzer 1b : with SHQ Early War Crew figure

Panzer 1bModel
I don't have many
Fujimi kits but when I seen this in its box at my local hobby shop* I though I would give it a go. I am a sucker for early war vehicles and this is a lovely model of the Panzer 1b the detail is very fine all over and I especially like the lower running gear. All the hatches can be left open which I think is great for such a small kit and the machin gun detail is lovely. I was really surprised by this kit as some of the Fujimi kits I have looked at have not been so great but I understand this is to to with old lines of kits. The only draw back with the kit was the vinyl tracks but they actually are very nicely detailed and went on well
.

Many thanks to Ian Hanratty for taking the pictures

PAINTING AND DETAILING
I painted my kit in (as you would guess) panzer grey then gave it a wash of blasck and burnt umber. then dry brushed the vehicle in light grey. I picked out some areas in a dusty earth shade and applied a rust kind of shade to the tracks and exhaust. I handpainted the markings, the cross came out fine but in future I will be using a stencil on the numbers. I added a wire antenna and the figure comes from SHQ early war panzer crew set that i like very much even if the hands are a little on the big side.

CONCLUSION
I really like this little kit and I bought a second one to try on a scenic base in the future. I would definately recommend this kit to fellow Modellers as it was a really enjoyable build. In my local hobby shop they are selling this little gem for below £4 and I thought this was a real bargain for such a nice kit.
