| HETZER MODEL I choose this model because I really like the tank. Based on 38(t) chassis, it was fast, well armed with a very low profile that gave it a very futuristic look. The model from Esci is superb, with a lot of detail. All parts fit very good. I like the plastic links of tracks that are more realistc than vinyl tracks. PAINTING AND DETAILING I decided to use a tricolor ambush scheme using RAL 8012 as base color with a hard edged camouflage with RAL 7028 and RAL 8017 as secondary colors. I have employed Humbrol enamels, RAL 8012: H133, RAL 7028: H83 and RAL 8017: H10. Weathering was as follows, one wash with black and a couple of washes with burnt umber. A heavy wash was carried out in lower parts of model using H94 to simulate mud. With a 2B pencil I color the metal surfaces and some spot were dotted on flat surface of model. I also highlighted the edges of armor plate. The pencil was rubbed against the track to simulate weathearing from road use. CONCLUSION I like this model and I think it is must for all modellers. |
